There is a stigma surrounding the word psychotherapy.
Numerous times I’ve heard people saying “I don’t need to see a therapist, nothing is wrong with me.”
Often when I described my profession in conversation, people would have a strong reactions, “Better be careful, she can read you” etc. These responses never felt comfortable, which led me to analyze as to why. Psychotherapy has a long history with its stigmatic reputation, and unfortunately the reasons behind this are not pleasant ie. association with “madness” which held a strong social stigma.
The establishment was never too encouraging towards individuals who wanted to deepen their understanding of the function of their psyche.
Once an individual gains insight into their psyche, they begin to gain more understanding of their position in the world and are able to recognize when they are being manipulated to serve another’s gain (for further explanation see ‘Century of the Self’ documentary).
Put in other words, an individual who is balanced and anchored within themselves is not easily manipulated for the gain of the establishment.
The most common side effects as the result of this pressure are:
sense of disconnection with the external world
depression
anxiety
self- esteem issues
emptiness and sadness
feelings of isolation
grief and loss
mental energetic depletion
R E B E L psychotherapy holds an approach that if physical and emotional maturity of an individual is unbalanced, the collective group that he’s part of is not balanced either. As in the band of musicians, the band is as only good as it’s weakest player.
If you can relate to the above statements and recognize yourself somewhere in there maybe it’s time for you to rebel.
Let me assist you in reclaiming your energy, balancing your ego and experiencing more love for yourself.
I believe these aspects are critical in attaining your power and psychological sovereignty.
